The sequence
- One hour later: an emailHere is what you left, here is the link back. One picture, one button.
- The next day: a text, if they gave a numberShort and human. Still thinking it over? Reply with any question.
- Three days later: a last emailThe answer to the most common question, such as shipping or returns, and the link. Then the sequence ends.
The rules that matter
- It stops the instant they buy, on any device, in any channel.
- No automatic discount. A coupon in the first message teaches people to abandon carts on purpose. Discounts, if any, are a decision you make for a segment, not a default.
- One sequence per cart, with a quiet period after it ends.
- Unsubscribes and quiet hours are respected, always.
What it looks like on the leak map
For an online store the third gate, conversations to customers, is checkout itself. In the illustrative model it moves from 50% to 60% with a recovery sequence and a cleaner checkout. On your store the number is in Shopify today; the audit reads it with you.
What you need
- A Shopify store, or another platform with an abandoned-cart event.
- Klaviyo or a similar email and SMS tool. We set it up if you do not have one.
- Answers to the three questions shoppers ask most, so the last email can answer one of them.
